Rolex Day-Date II

Rolex has recently introduced its Day-Date II. The watch is crafted in 18K yellow, white or Everose gold. It is also available in platinum.

The new Rolex watch features a 41-mm case with a fluted or polished bezel. The case, 100-meter water-resistant, houses the new calibre 3156, a movement with a PARACHROM hairspring of great resistance to shocks and magnetic fields. It is fitted with new PARAFLEX shock absorbers. These features enhance the watch's chronometric precision and remarkable reliability.

The Day-Date II boasts a new range of dials featuring either contemporary or traditional designs.

The Rolex watch goes on a comfortable Super-President bracelet with a Crownclasp

New Rolex Sea-Dweller DEEPSEA for Conquerors of Extreme Depths

Rolex has developed a new Sea-Dweller watch for most courageous and adventurous divers who are ready to conquer unbelievable depths and need a reliable timekeeping companion on their wrist.

The new Rolex Oyster Perpetual Sea-Dweller DEEPSEA provides a remarkable waterproofness to an extreme depth of 3,900 meters (equal to12, 800 feet). The diver's watch has required its creators to come up with a few innovative decisions - the timepiece is based on a RINGLOCK SYSTEM, a new Rolex-patented case architecture that is able to resist the colossal pressure exerted by water at extreme depths
The first major feature of the innovative system is the high-performance ring that is set inside the middle case between the crystal and the case back. The ring is produced from the nitrogen-alloyed stainless steel. It allows the watch to resists the pressure exerted by water on the crystal and the case back. The middle case is produced from 904L steel.

Another important component of the RINGLOCK SYSTEM is the synthetic sapphire crystal that is slightly domed and much thicker than the crystals of other Rolex Oyster watches.

Finally, the system features the case back made of a titanium alloy, a stainless material of extreme resistance. The case back is held in place against the high-performance ring with help of a 904L-steel ring.

Alpina Extreme Tourbillon Regulator Watch With Manufacture Movement

Suddenly the skier's performance watch turns into an intense ultra luxury timepiece. Capturing the regulator design modern Alpina watches are fondly know for, the Extreme Tourbillon Regulator watch adds a manufacture developed tourbillon movement in this limited edition of 18 piece collection.

Titanium is the luxury material of choice this year. Last year it was ceramic. This watch combines them both in a well designed 48mm wide case with a tasteful industrial inspired face and popular black tones. The exclusive automatic AL-980 tourbillon movement makes use of silicon palettes as well as a silicon escapement wheel. A power reserve of 48 hours completes a movement fit for the sporty demeanor of this watch. Going along with trendy design choices, Alpina places bubbly skeletonized hands on the layered face. I find that the unique style of a tourbillon carriage window fits in well with the layout of a regulator style watch - where the tourbillon acts as the seconds indicator. With a price of well over $50,000 Alpina might be stretching the limits of its appeal to high-end buyers. Though with only 18 pieces it makes for good PR, and strengthens the credibility of the brand.

At least they did an amazing job with this daring dive watch. No word on pricing or availability yet, but the Citizen Eco-drive watches should be on the market some time soon.

Zenith Watch New

ZENITH GRANDE CLASSE TRAVELLER OPEN MULTICITY Made by Swiss watchmaker Zenith, this is a real globetrotter's timepiece, displaying the hour, night or day, in every time zone on the planet at the same time. It's also a world-class chronograph thanks to Zenith's own El Primero mechanism ? a 354-part miracle of engineering that takes nine months to assemble, is made of 18 metals and has been hand-lubricated using ten different grades of oil

THE CHRONOGRAPH Developed in 1969, Zenith's El Primero automatic chronograph movement has been at the heart of many Swiss watches, including the Rolex Daytona. With its balance wheel oscillating at 36,000 vibrations per hour, it's the only mechanical movement in the world that can measure time down to one-tenth of a second. A 30-minute counter sits at the three o'clock position. The state of the 50-hour power reserve is indicated by the hand at the bottom of the dial.
THE COMPLICATION The Multicity shows the time simultaneously in the major city of each of the world's 24 time zones thanks to a revolving disk anchored to the hour hand. Rotate the outer crown until the time zone you're in is over the 12 o'clock position, then read off the hour in your selected city.
THE GRAND DATE The 'Grande Date' displays the day of the month using a unique three-disk mechanism, with an instantaneous double-jump at midnight.
THE CASING Twenty-two carat rose gold casing and black crocodile strap, lined with Alzavel calfskin. The back of the watch is made of non-reflective sapphire glass, letting you see through to its intricate workings.

URWERK 201 Watch
